I provide individual psychotherapy to adults experiencing things like anxiety, stress and overwhelm, ADHD and neurodivergence, self-esteem concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship patterns, work-related stress, and life transitions.
You don’t need to have a diagnosis—or even know exactly what you want to work on—to reach out.
-
Yes! Sage & Sow is an online-only practice, with sessions held through a secure video platform.
Because psychotherapy is regulated based on where you are physically located during the session, please let me know if you plan to attend from outside Ontario so we can determine whether I’m able to provide care while you’re there.
-
Standard psychotherapy appointments are 50 minutes.
The frequency of sessions is something we can decide together based on your needs, goals, availability, and what feels sustainable for you.
-
Please provide at least four hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Appointments cancelled with less than four hours’ notice and missed appointments will ordinarily be charged the full session fee. Exceptions may be considered for emergencies or exceptional circumstances.
-
Psychotherapy is confidential, with certain exceptions required or permitted by law—for example, particular situations involving serious safety concerns, child protection obligations, legal requirements, or professional regulatory obligations.
We’ll review confidentiality and its limits as part of the informed-consent process before beginning therapy. You can also read the Privacy Policy for more information about how your personal health information is handled.
-
Only with your separate, informed consent.
Sage & Sow may offer an optional AI-assisted documentation tool that temporarily records and transcribes a session to help create a draft clinical note. It will not be used without discussing it with you and obtaining the required consent.
You can decline recording, transcription, or AI-assisted documentation and still receive therapy normally.

That’s okay—and figuring that out is part of the process.
The relationship you have with your therapist matters. If I don’t think I’m the best person to support what you need, or if you decide another therapist would suit you better, we can talk openly about that and, when possible, I can help point you toward other options.

Sage & Sow Counselling is not a crisis or emergency service, and messages or emails are not continuously monitored.
If you are in immediate danger or unable to keep yourself or someone else safe, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. In Canada, you can also call or text 988 for 24/7 suicide crisis support.
-
A standard 50-minute individual psychotherapy session is $120.
Letters, forms, or reports are $45, unless we discuss and agree to a different fee beforehand.
-
It may be. Many extended health benefit plans include psychotherapy, but every policy is different.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). You are responsible for checking whether your plan covers services provided by an RP (Qualifying), whether your insurer requires information about my clinical supervisor, and what limits or deductibles apply.
I do not provide direct billing, but you will receive a receipt that you can submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement.
-
Payment is due following your appointment. You can pay by debit card, credit card, or Interac e-Transfer.
If using e-Transfer, please avoid including clinical or sensitive information in the transfer message.
-
The first session is mostly about getting to know each other.
We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, what you hope might be different, and anything that feels important for me to understand. We can also talk about what has—or hasn’t—worked for you in therapy before.
You do not need to arrive with a perfectly organized explanation of your entire life. We can figure it out together.
-
Completely okay.
Some people arrive with a very specific goal. Others arrive knowing only that something feels off, overwhelming, repetitive, or harder than they want it to be.
Finding the words can be part of the work.
-
Email and text are best used for things like scheduling, billing, forms, and other administrative questions.
They aren’t continuously monitored, and I don’t ordinarily provide psychotherapy by email or text. Sensitive information is better shared through the secure client portal or during a session.
-
Nope! You can contact Sage & Sow directly to inquire about services or book a consultation.
